The “Visit My Police Station” initiative, led by the Child Friendly Shillong Team in collaboration with the Police Department, aims to build trust between children and the police. Supported by the Superintendent of Police, the program allows Child Rights Club members to interact with officers, learn about their rights, and understand police roles in a friendly setting. Visits to Lumdiengjri and Laban Police Stations have reduced fear, inspired some children to join the force, and promoted healthy, responsible lifestyles. Encouraged by positive feedback, the team plans to expand the initiative citywide.
